Which companies sponsor visas for program coordinators in Nebraska?
The most active sponsors for program coordinator roles in Nebraska tend to be large healthcare systems such as Nebraska Medicine and CHI Health, the University of Nebraska system across its Lincoln and Omaha campuses, and major nonprofits and research institutions. These organizations have established HR infrastructure for sponsoring H-1B petitions and have a documented history of filing Labor Condition Applications for administrative and program coordination positions.
Which visa types are most common for program coordinator roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for program coordinator roles in Nebraska, particularly when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as public health, healthcare administration, or education. Some university-affiliated roles may also qualify under the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, or the J-1 visa for exchange-based research coordination positions. Eligibility depends on how the employer defines the role's degree requirements.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most program coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Omaha and Lincoln account for the majority of program coordinator sponsorship opportunities in Nebraska. Omaha's large medical corridor, anchored by Nebraska Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, drives significant demand. Lincoln's concentration of state government agencies, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and nonprofit organizations also generates consistent openings. Outside these two cities, sponsorship opportunities for program coordinators are limited.
How to find program coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find program coordinator roles in Nebraska where employers are open to visa sponsorship. You can filter specifically for program coordinator positions in Nebraska, helping you avoid wasting time on postings where sponsorship is not available. Given that Omaha and Lincoln dominate hiring in this category, focusing your search on those cities through Migrate Mate will surface the most relevant opportunities.
What should international candidates know about program coordinator hiring in Nebraska?
Nebraska employers sponsoring program coordinators typically require the role to qualify as a specialty occupation under H-1B standards, meaning the position must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Healthcare and university employers in Nebraska are generally more experienced with sponsorship than smaller nonprofits. Candidates with degrees in public health, education administration, or health services management tend to be the strongest fit for Nebraska's sponsoring employers in this category.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program coordinator jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
