Which companies sponsor visas for program coordinators in Missouri?
Missouri's largest visa sponsors for program coordinator roles include BJC HealthCare, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Missouri Health Care, Children's Mercy Hospital, and Saint Luke's Health System. Large nonprofits and federally funded research institutions in St. Louis and Kansas City also file H-1B petitions for program coordinators, particularly in clinical research coordination, grant management, and academic program administration.
Which visa types are most common for program coordinator roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program coordinator positions in Missouri, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as public health, social work, education, or business administration. Some positions at universities qualify for cap-exempt H-1B petitions. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories, and O-1 visas apply to individuals with extraordinary achievement.
Which cities in Missouri have the most program coordinator sponsorship jobs?
St. Louis accounts for the largest share of program coordinator sponsorship jobs in Missouri, driven by its concentration of hospital systems, research universities, and federally funded nonprofits. Kansas City is the second-largest market, with opportunities in healthcare, community development, and corporate social responsibility programs. Columbia, home to the University of Missouri flagship campus, also generates consistent demand for program coordinators in academic and research settings.
How to find program coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to search for program coordinator roles in Missouri without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by location and role type to surface openings at Missouri's healthcare systems, universities, and nonprofits. Migrate Mate's listings are updated regularly, which is especially useful given how quickly coordinator positions at major employers are filled.
Are there state-specific considerations for program coordinator visa sponsorship in Missouri?
Missouri's program coordinator market is heavily anchored in healthcare and higher education, both sectors where employers have established H-1B sponsorship infrastructure. Washington University in St. Louis and University of Missouri are cap-exempt institutions, meaning they can file H-1B petitions year-round outside the annual lottery. Candidates should confirm whether a specific coordinator role meets the specialty occupation standard, as general coordination duties without a degree requirement in a specific field may not qualify.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program coordinator jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
