Which companies sponsor visas for project administrators in Kansas?
Aerospace and defense employers in Wichita, including Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation, have historically sponsored project administrators. In the Kansas City metro, companies in construction management, IT services, and healthcare administration also file sponsorships. Government contractors operating in the state frequently sponsor project coordination roles tied to large multi-year contracts.
Which visa types are most common for project administrator roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project administrators in Kansas, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like business administration, engineering, or information systems. Some candidates also enter on L-1B visas through intracompany transfers, particularly within aerospace or manufacturing conglomerates with Kansas operations.
Which cities in Kansas have the most project administrator sponsorship jobs?
Wichita leads in project administrator sponsorships due to its concentration of aerospace manufacturing and defense contractors. Overland Park and Lenexa in the Kansas City metro are active for IT and corporate project management roles. Topeka, as the state capital, offers public sector and healthcare-adjacent project coordination positions that occasionally support visa sponsorship.
How to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse project administrator openings in Kansas without sorting through roles that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by city, such as Wichita or Overland Park, and by industry. This saves significant time compared to manually researching which Kansas employers have a history of filing H-1B petitions for project coordination roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for project administrators seeking sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas employers sponsoring H-1B project administrators must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the occupation in the relevant metro area, which differs between Wichita and the Kansas City metro. Wichita's aerospace sector means many project administrator roles involve defense program coordination, where security clearance eligibility can factor into hiring decisions alongside immigration status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project administrator jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
