Which companies sponsor visas for project administrators in Delaware?
Financial services firms and chemical industry employers lead visa sponsorship for project administrators in Delaware. Companies like JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, DuPont, and Chemours have established sponsorship programs and regularly hire project administrators. Government contractors operating near Wilmington and Dover also sponsor project coordination roles, particularly for defense or infrastructure projects requiring structured program oversight.
Which visa types are most common for project administrator roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project administrator positions in Delaware, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, information systems, or engineering. Some employers also sponsor L-1B visas for intracompany transferees moving into project coordination roles. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business administration occupations.
Which cities in Delaware have the most project administrator sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the majority of project administrator sponsorship jobs in Delaware, driven by its concentration of financial services, chemical, and corporate headquarters. Newark, home to the University of Delaware and several technology employers, also generates sponsorship activity. Dover sees more limited opportunities, primarily through state government contractors and healthcare organizations serving central Delaware.
How to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware. The platform filters roles by state and job function, so you can focus specifically on Delaware employers who have sponsored work visas for project administrators rather than sorting through postings that offer no sponsorship. Filtering by industry, such as financial services or chemicals, helps narrow results to Delaware's dominant hiring sectors.
Are there any state-specific considerations for project administrators seeking sponsorship in Delaware?
Delaware's incorporation-friendly legal environment means many large corporations are headquartered or registered there, creating genuine on-the-ground project administrator roles rather than just holding company addresses. Employers must still pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the specific Wilmington or Dover metropolitan area when sponsoring an H-1B, so the posted wage is tied to local rates rather than national averages. Delaware's proximity to Philadelphia also means some roles involve multi-state project oversight.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project administrator jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
