Which companies sponsor visas for project administrators in Tennessee?
Healthcare organizations are among the most active sponsors for project administrators in Tennessee. HCA Healthcare and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville regularly hire for project administration roles and have established H-1B visa sponsorship histories. Large construction and engineering firms operating in Memphis and Knoxville, along with technology consultancies supporting state government contracts, also appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for this role type.
Which visa types are most common for project administrator roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa type for project administrators in Tennessee, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, information technology, or engineering. Some employers in healthcare or higher education also sponsor TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. L-1 visa transfers occur when a multinational employer moves an existing employee into a Tennessee-based project role.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most project administrator sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads Tennessee for project administrator sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, technology companies, and construction firms managing major development projects. Memphis is a secondary market with logistics, healthcare, and infrastructure employers. Knoxville and Chattanooga have smaller but active hiring pools, particularly in engineering and manufacturing project support roles tied to the broader East Tennessee industrial corridor.
How to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse project administrator roles in Tennessee without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Because sponsoring employers in this state are concentrated in healthcare, construction, and technology sectors, filtering by those industries on Migrate Mate helps narrow results quickly. Setting up job alerts for Tennessee project administrator openings ensures you see new sponsorship-eligible postings as they go live.
Are there state-specific considerations for project administrator visa sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects prevailing wage calculations employers must meet under H-1B Labor Condition Application requirements. Employers are required to pay at least the prevailing wage for project administrators in the specific metropolitan area, whether Nashville, Memphis, or Knoxville, rather than a statewide figure. Tennessee's strong healthcare and infrastructure growth has increased demand for project administrators with industry-specific credentials such as PMP certification, which can strengthen a specialty occupation determination.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project administrator jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
