Which companies sponsor visas for project administrators in Colorado?
Federal contractors and aerospace firms lead visa sponsorship for project administrators in Colorado. Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, SAIC, and Jacobs Engineering have sponsored project coordination roles in the state, as have large construction and infrastructure companies. Technology companies based in the Denver and Boulder corridors also hire project administrators with sponsorship, particularly for roles tied to software implementation and IT program management.
Which visa types are most common for project administrator roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for project administrator roles in Colorado, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, engineering, or information systems. Some roles at multinational firms qualify for L-1B specialized knowledge transfers. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN visa status under the management consultant or engineer categories, depending on how the role is defined.
Which cities in Colorado have the most project administrator sponsorship jobs?
Denver is the primary hub for project administrator sponsorship jobs in Colorado, supported by a dense concentration of federal contractors, construction firms, and technology companies. Colorado Springs follows, driven by defense and aerospace employers near Peterson and Schriever Space Force Bases. Boulder and Aurora also see consistent hiring, particularly in tech-adjacent project management roles tied to the University of Colorado ecosystem and biotech sector.
How to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to browse project administrator roles in Colorado without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. Searching by the project administrator title and filtering to Colorado surfaces openings from defense contractors, construction firms, and tech employers in the Denver metro and Colorado Springs areas that have a documented history of sponsoring work visas.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for project administrators in Colorado?
Colorado's concentration of federal contractors means many project administrator roles involve security clearance requirements, which can complicate or preclude sponsorship for candidates who are not yet permanent residents. Employers filing H-1B petitions for project administrators must certify prevailing wage compliance with the Department of Labor, and Colorado's strong job market means posted wages often meet or exceed the required thresholds. The University of Colorado and Colorado State University also supply a pipeline of OPT-eligible candidates that some employers hire before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project administrator jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
