Which companies sponsor visas for project administrators in North Carolina?
Healthcare systems such as Duke Health, UNC Health, and Novant Health regularly sponsor project administrators for hospital operations and IT initiatives. Large technology employers in the Research Triangle, including Lenovo, Cisco, and SAS Institute, also sponsor internationally for project coordination roles. State government contractors and construction management firms in Charlotte round out the sponsoring employer base for this role.
Which visa types are most common for project administrator roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project administrators in North Carolina, provided the role requires a specific bachelor's degree in a field like business administration, information systems, or engineering. The L-1B and L-1A are options for intracompany transferees moving into project administration at multinationals with North Carolina offices. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying administrative roles.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most project administrator sponsorship jobs?
The Research Triangle, covering Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, has the highest concentration of project administrator sponsorship jobs, driven by technology companies, universities, and healthcare institutions. Charlotte is the second-largest market, with demand coming from financial services firms, construction management companies, and corporate headquarters. Greensboro and Winston-Salem also see sponsorship activity tied to manufacturing and logistics operations.
How to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find project administrator roles in North Carolina without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can filter by state and role type to see which Research Triangle technology employers, Charlotte financial firms, or healthcare systems are actively hiring project administrators who need visa support.
Are there any state-specific considerations for project administrators seeking visa sponsorship in North Carolina?
North Carolina's Research Triangle is home to a large university pipeline through NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke, meaning employers are experienced with OPT and H-1B transitions for project administration graduates. The state's strong construction and infrastructure sectors mean project administrator roles can span IT project management and capital project coordination, which affects how employers frame specialty occupation eligibility for H-1B petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project administrator jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
