Which companies sponsor visas for project administrators in Utah?
Technology companies in Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor are among the most active sponsors for project administrator roles. Adobe, Qualtrics, and Pluralsight have sponsored H-1B workers in project and program management functions. Healthcare organizations like Intermountain Health and University of Utah Health also hire project administrators and have established sponsorship programs, particularly for roles requiring specialized coordination of clinical or IT initiatives.
Which visa types are most common for project administrator roles in Utah?
The H-1B visa is the most common path for project administrators in Utah, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, information systems, or engineering. Some employers in Utah's defense and technology sectors also sponsor TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and L-1 transfers occur when large multinationals relocate internal project staff to their Utah offices.
Which cities in Utah have the most project administrator sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of project administrator sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and government contractors. Provo and Lehi, sitting at the heart of the Silicon Slopes tech hub, generate significant demand from software and SaaS companies. Ogden also sees sponsorship activity tied to aerospace and manufacturing operations, including suppliers connected to Hill Air Force Base.
How to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters project administrator jobs in Utah specifically by visa sponsorship, so you're not sifting through listings from employers who won't support international candidates. Search by role and state on Migrate Mate to surface active openings from Utah employers in tech, healthcare, and professional services who have a documented history of H-1B or other work visa filings for project administration functions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for project administrators seeking sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B project administrator roles are determined by the Department of Labor's wage levels for the specific occupational category and metropolitan area, which differ between Salt Lake City, Provo, and smaller metros. Utah's strong ties to Brigham Young University and the University of Utah create a pipeline of internationally enrolled students on OPT who pursue project administrator roles, meaning employers in the region are generally familiar with work authorization transitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project administrator jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
