Job Summary
The Application Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of the OnCore application which is overseen by the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) of Indiana.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Performs administrative functions, such as managing user access and configuration changes, in the OnCore application.
- Provides customer support for the OnCore application.
- Serves as an expert for projects, processes, and the use of the OnCore system and provides recommendations for application setup to align with organizational goals.
- Collaborates with operations and support personnel to ensure effective communication and documentation of standards and best practices for research system data.
- Provides consultation services to aid the development and initiation of new projects/processes utilizing OnCore.
- Establishes and maintains various vehicles of communication and awareness for the OnCore application, such as website information, presentations, program materials, announcements, emails, training materials, etc.
- Tracks and monitors data quality and compliance in OnCore.
- Performs upgrades for OnCore according to the team's established methodology.
- Communicates application enhancements for OnCore to the vendor.
- Serves as the organizational representative for OnCore to the vendor and the Onsemble Community, an Advarra customer.
- Provides backup support for all research systems and processes managed by the OCR Research Systems team.
- Assists with data extraction for reporting needs and data visualization.
- Coordinates with internal team members, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Provides basic support for other OCR systems, vended products, and associated integrations.
General Responsibilities
- Serves as the highest point of escalation for troubleshooting, analyzing, and designing solutions for problems and bugs in applications and products.
- Manages highly complex upgrades, releases, customization, and documentation of work according to team's established methodology.
- Leads in the design, development, and implementation of new software solutions by influencing the services and technologies that are developed.
- Develops best practices for building, testing, and deploying applications.
- Serves as the point of contact with regards to research, evaluation, and guidance for implementation of new and emerging technologies that improve the success of client applications.
- Collaborates with leadership and leads project planning, objective formulation, task estimation, and evaluation of customer requests.
- Provides guidance and feedback to less experienced staff.
