ABOUT THE ROLE
Senior IT Project Manager to lead the end-to-end technology deployment for a new greenfield warehouse facility. The selected candidate will coordinate all IT-related workstreams from facility construction through go-live, ensuring successful implementation of warehouse automation, IT infrastructure, SAP warehouse systems, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience delivering technology projects in warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environments. This role requires excellent communication, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination skills across IT and non-IT teams. Deep SAP expertise is not mandatory, as dedicated SAP functional and technical teams will support the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end delivery of all IT workstreams for the new warehouse facility.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, issues, and governance.
- Coordinate project activities from facility construction through testing, commissioning, cutover, and go-live.
- Oversee the deployment and integration of warehouse automation technologies, including:
- Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs)
- Conveyor and sortation systems
- Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
- RFID solutions
- Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)
- Coordinate SAP EWM implementation activities and integrations with warehouse automation systems.
- Lead IT infrastructure deployment and ensure readiness for warehouse operations.
- Manage third-party system integrators, automation vendors, construction partners, and technology suppliers.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, SAP, Infrastructure, Security, and Automation teams.
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership, executives, and stakeholders.
- Drive testing, commissioning, cutover planning, go-live readiness, hypercare, and operational handoff.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring timely delivery within established scope and budget.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of IT project or program management experience.
- Proven experience delivering technology projects in warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing warehouse automation, infrastructure deployment, or complex system integration projects.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budget control, risk management, and issue resolution.
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing testing, commissioning, cutover, and production go-live activities.
