Which companies sponsor visas for project administrators in Texas?
Large engineering and energy firms are among the most active sponsors for project administrator roles in Texas. Companies like Fluor, Jacobs Engineering, Burns & McDonnell, and Chevron have consistent hiring needs and documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories. Technology employers in Austin and Dallas, including Dell Technologies, AT&T, and Texas Instruments, also sponsor project administrators supporting IT and infrastructure programs.
Which visa types are most common for project administrator roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project administrators in Texas, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as engineering, construction management, or business administration. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering categories. Candidates with extraordinary qualifications may also explore the O-1A, though that standard is significantly higher.
Which cities in Texas have the most project administrator sponsorship jobs?
Houston leads in project administrator sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of energy, petrochemical, and engineering firms. Dallas-Fort Worth is the second-largest hub, with strong demand across construction, telecom, and corporate operations. Austin has grown significantly due to its technology sector expansion. San Antonio and Midland-Odessa also have active markets, particularly for energy and infrastructure project roles.
How to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international job seekers and filters project administrator roles in Texas by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're not sorting through listings that don't apply to your situation. You can browse active openings from Texas employers with confirmed sponsorship histories, covering industries from energy and engineering in Houston to technology and corporate operations in Austin and Dallas.
Are there any Texas-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for project administrators?
Texas has no state income tax, which influences prevailing wage calculations and employer compensation benchmarking under the H-1B Labor Condition Application process. The state's concentration of large engineering and energy firms means many employers have in-house immigration support and prior sponsorship experience, making the process more established than at smaller companies. University programs at UT Austin and Texas A&M also create strong local pipelines of candidates transitioning from OPT to H-1B.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project administrator jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
