Which companies sponsor visas for radiologic technologists in Kansas?
The largest sponsors in Kansas are major health systems: The University of Kansas Health System, Stormont Vail Health, Via Christi Health (part of Ascension), and Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Large hospital networks with active international recruitment programs are the most reliable sponsors, as they have established HR and immigration infrastructure to support the H-1B visa or EB-3 petition process.
Which visa types are most common for radiologic technologist roles in Kansas?
The EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa is the most common pathway for radiologic technologists in Kansas, as the role is classified under Schedule A, which waives the PERM labor market test and significantly streamlines the green card process. The H-1B is less frequently used because radiologic technology positions must clearly qualify as a specialty occupation. Some employers also use the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals.
Which cities in Kansas have the most radiologic technologist sponsorship jobs?
Wichita and Kansas City (including the Kansas side of the metro area) have the highest concentration of radiologic technologist sponsorship opportunities, driven by large hospital campuses and outpatient imaging centers. Topeka, as the state capital and home to Stormont Vail Health, is a consistent secondary market. Rural areas with critical-access hospitals, such as Salina and Hutchinson, also post openings, often with stronger sponsorship motivation due to ongoing staffing gaps.
How to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas. The platform filters positions specifically to employers with active sponsorship history, saving time you would otherwise spend screening generic job listings. Search by the Kansas state filter and the radiologic technologist role to see current openings from health systems and imaging centers actively recruiting international candidates.
Are there any state-specific considerations for radiologic technologists seeking visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas requires radiologic technologists to be licensed through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, which mandates passing the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification exam. International candidates should obtain ARRT certification before or alongside visa sponsorship, as employers typically require it for hire. Kansas's critical-access hospital designation in rural areas can also support expedited sponsorship decisions, since facilities qualify for certain rural health workforce incentive programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored radiologic technologist jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
