Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for strategy managers?
Koch Industries and its subsidiaries are among the most active sponsors for senior strategy roles in Kansas. Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, Evergy, and major hospital systems like the University of Kansas Health System have also filed H-1B petitions for business and strategy positions. Larger multinationals with Kansas operations tend to have established immigration programs and dedicated HR resources for sponsorship.
What visa types are most common for strategy manager roles in Kansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for strategy managers in Kansas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational employer relationships may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Those with extraordinary achievement in their field may explore the O-1A category.
Which cities in Kansas have the most strategy manager sponsorship opportunities?
Wichita and the Kansas City metro area (including Overland Park and Lenexa) account for the majority of strategy manager sponsorship activity in the state. Wichita's concentration of aerospace and manufacturing firms drives demand for corporate strategy talent, while the Kansas City corridor attracts roles in financial services, healthcare operations, and technology. Topeka occasionally posts strategy positions tied to state government-adjacent organizations.
How to find strategy manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search strategy manager roles in Kansas without sorting through positions that don't support work authorization. The platform surfaces openings at employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories in the state, which is particularly useful in Kansas where sponsoring employers are concentrated in aerospace, energy, and healthcare sectors.
Are there any state-specific considerations for strategy managers seeking sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas does not impose additional state-level licensing requirements for strategy managers, but the DOL prevailing wage determination for the role is set by the Wichita or Kansas City metro area wage zone depending on the employer's location. University of Kansas and Kansas State University produce graduate business talent that feeds local pipelines, but international graduates on OPT pursuing sponsorship should confirm their employer has prior H-1B filing experience before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy manager jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
