Primary Location: United States (US) - Kansas - Coffeyville
As a Production Support employee with John Deere in Coffeyville, KS you will:
Perform assembly, CNC, or other production support related operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:
- Assemble parts or components to specification.
- Turn, drill, bore, and/or mill parts to specification using CNC machining tools and processes.
- Operate one or more CNC machines to complete an operation.
- Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
- Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.
- Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.
- Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.
- Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to various types of CNC machine tools, hand and power tools, testing and runoff equipment, ladders, hoists, fixtures, jigs, and gages.
- Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.
- Assist and support other team members.
- Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
Starting Pay: $27.54 / hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least one of the following:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
- At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
- Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift – with or without reasonable accommodation; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.
- Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).
Preferred Qualifications (What Makes You Stand Out):
- At least 2 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing setting; including experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
