ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 7:00am-3:30pm Days
• Patient Care - Assist technologists, as requested, throughout the procedure
• Patient Care - Demonstrates knowledge of age specific competencies to provide appropriate care to all patients
• Patient Care - Uses proper body mechanics to move, assist with positioning, or transferring a patient.
• Patient Care - Uses appropriate tools and techniques to assist with patient care (i.e. monitors, equipment, visual observation).
• Communication - Uses AIDET to explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure patient safety and comfort. Communicates appropriately with the patient, staff and family members to facilitate care.
• Documentation - Records appropriate information to ensure data integrity in the EMR while adhering to HIPPA guidelines.
• Knowledge - Understands basic anatomy and physiology. Demonstrates knowledge of psychosocial consideration to provide appropriate care. Understands and applies appropriate medical terminology.
• Safety - Follows ALARA principles and employs appropriate safety precautions. Follows regulatory rules and guidelines. Uses proper cleaning supplies and techniques to adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Collaboration - Collaborates with healthcare team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Required High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year Hospital or patient care setting Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
