About CBTS
CBTS partners with organizations across North America to design, implement, and manage the technology that runs their business — from cloud and infrastructure to cybersecurity, unified communications, and managed IT services. We combine the reach of a national provider with the responsiveness of a trusted local partner. Our New York region is in high-growth mode, and this role is being built to be the flagship for sales performance within that momentum.
The Role
We're looking for a high-energy, new-business hunter who understands that activity builds funnel — and funnel builds revenue. You will own a defined territory of net-new target accounts, responsible for the prospecting, relationship-building, and legwork it takes to bring new logos to CBTS: pounding the pavement, meeting with OEM and vendor partners, and generating your own pipeline rather than managing an existing book. You'll have real support behind you: a dedicated ISR (Inside Sales Representative) and growing marketing investment focused on lead generation, so you can spend more of your time in front of prospects and OEM partners and less time cold-starting from zero. You'll be part of a collaborative, in-office culture — this team is expected to be present and visible, working from our office roughly two days a week. We're building something here, and we want people who want to help build it.
- Prospect relentlessly into a named territory — outbound calling, email, social selling, networking, and referral generation — to build and maintain a consistent pipeline of net-new opportunities.
- Own the full new-business sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
- Build and maintain direct relationships with OEM and vendor partners as a core source of new pipeline and co-selling opportunities.
- Partner with your dedicated ISR and the marketing team to convert lead-generation investment into qualified meetings and opportunities.
- Work with Sales Engineering and solution architects to scope technology solutions — cloud, infrastructure, security, unified communications, and managed services — that address prospect business challenges.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date opportunity and activity records in Eightfold/CRM, including pipeline stage, next steps, and forecasted close dates.
- Represent CBTS at industry events, OEM events, and networking functions to build market presence and generate new relationships.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new-logo revenue and pipeline-generation targets [VERIFY: specific quota/comp plan figures to be confirmed with sales leadership before posting].
- Be present in the office roughly two days per week to collaborate with the team and support a growing regional presence.
- Transition closed new-logo accounts to the account management team with a clean, documented handoff once the relationship is established.
What You Bring
- High energy and a genuine new-business mindset — you understand that activity drives funnel, and funnel drives results.
- Technology sales experience preferred — MSP, VAR, vendor, or OEM background is a strong fit.
- A demonstrated hunter mentality — comfort with high-volume outbound prospecting and a resilient, self-motivated approach to building pipeline from scratch.
- Strong discovery and consultative selling skills; ability to translate technical solutions into business value for prospective clients.
- Comfort building and maintaining relationships with OEM/vendor partners as a pipeline source.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers.
Why CBTS
- A broad, in-demand technology portfolio that opens doors across industries.
- Comprehensive benefits, professional development, and a collaborative, high-achiever sales culture.
The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 and reflects CBTS's good-faith estimate, at the time of posting, of the salary the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. The applicable base pay offered to a successful candidate will be determined within this range, based on the candidate's designated primary work location and factors including role scope and responsibilities, required qualifications, and the individual's experience, education, skills, and knowledge. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as discretionary bonuses or sales-based variable compensation, in accordance with applicable plans and eligibility requirements.
This position is eligible to participate in CBTS's benefits programs, which generally include:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- CBTS-sponsored life and disability insurance
- retirement savings plan with 4% match
- Paid time off, including [vacation, sick leave, and holidays]
- Paid parental leave
- Tuition reimbursement
Specific eligibility, coverage details, and waiting periods are governed by the applicable plan documents and may vary by role, work location, and employment classification.

Which companies sponsor visas for account executives in Kentucky?
Louisville-based employers are the most active sponsors in Kentucky for sales and account management roles. Humana, Kindred Healthcare, and Tempur Sealy have histories of H-1B visa sponsorship in business and commercial functions. Lexington's growing technology and healthcare services sectors also produce sponsorship activity. Smaller regional firms sponsor less frequently, so targeting large multinationals and publicly traded companies headquartered in Kentucky generally yields better results.
Which visa types are most common for account executive roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account executive positions in Kentucky, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business, marketing, or communications. The L-1B intracompany transferee visa is another pathway for candidates already employed abroad by a company with a Kentucky office. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business-related categories.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most account executive sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the majority of account executive sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing. Lexington is a secondary market with growing activity in technology services and equine industry-adjacent businesses. Bowling Green and Covington see limited but occasional sponsorship tied to automotive and regional business services employers in those areas.
How to find account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find account executive roles in Kentucky where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs by role and state, so you can browse Kentucky-specific openings without sifting through listings that exclude international candidates. Focus your search on Louisville and Lexington, and prioritize larger employers in healthcare technology, logistics, and financial services, as these sectors generate the most consistent sponsorship activity in the state.
Are there any Kentucky-specific considerations for account executives seeking visa sponsorship?
Account executive roles in Kentucky must meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard, which means the position needs to genuinely require a relevant bachelor's degree, not just prefer one. Kentucky's economy is heavily tied to healthcare, bourbon and food manufacturing, logistics, and equine industries, so candidates with domain expertise in these sectors are better positioned. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville produce graduates who sometimes transition into local sales roles, creating some employer familiarity with international hiring processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account executive jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
