Which companies in Hawaii sponsor visas for account executives?
Employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity in Hawaii include Booz Allen Hamilton, Leidos, and DXC Technology on the defense and technology side, along with major hospitality groups operating out of Honolulu. Healthcare systems such as Hawaii Pacific Health also hire account executives and have the HR infrastructure required to support visa petitions. Smaller local firms rarely sponsor.
Which visa types are most common for account executive roles in Hawaii?
The H-1B is the most common pathway for account executive roles in Hawaii, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, marketing, or communications. The L-1B visa is an option for intracompany transferees moving into a sales role from an overseas office of the same employer. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business categories.
Which cities in Hawaii have the most account executive sponsorship jobs?
Honolulu accounts for the overwhelming majority of account executive sponsorship opportunities in Hawaii. As the state's commercial center, it hosts the headquarters of major employers in hospitality, defense contracting, healthcare, and financial services. Kailua-Kona on the Big Island has limited openings, primarily in tourism-related sales. For most international candidates, Honolulu is the practical target market when searching Hawaii.
How to find account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Hawaii?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it more efficient than general job searches for international candidates. You can browse account executive roles in Hawaii directly on Migrate Mate, where listings are curated for employers willing to sponsor. Given Hawaii's concentrated market, setting up alerts for Honolulu-based sales and account management roles will surface the most relevant opportunities as they appear.
Are there any state-specific considerations for account executives pursuing sponsorship in Hawaii?
Hawaii's geographic isolation means the employer base is smaller than mainland states, so competition for sponsored roles is concentrated among a limited number of large organizations. The state's economy is heavily tied to tourism and federal spending, which shapes which industries actively hire account executives. Hawaii also follows federal prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions, so employers must certify wages meet Department of Labor standards for the Honolulu metro area specifically.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account executive jobs in Hawaii?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
