Which companies sponsor visas for account executives in Ohio?
Technology and enterprise software companies are among the most active sponsors for account executive roles in Ohio. Oracle has significant operations in the Columbus area, and companies like Salesforce, SAP, and Veeva Systems have hired account executives in the state. Healthcare technology firms and insurance companies headquartered in Columbus, such as Nationwide and Cardinal Health's commercial divisions, have also sponsored international candidates for sales roles.
Which visa types are most common for account executive roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account executive roles in Ohio, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation, which typically requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field like business, marketing, or a technical discipline directly tied to the product being sold. The L-1B and L-1A visas are also used when candidates transfer from a multinational employer's non-U.S. office into an Ohio-based sales role.
Which cities in Ohio have the most account executive sponsorship jobs?
Columbus accounts for the largest share of account executive sponsorship activity in Ohio, driven by its concentration of technology companies, financial services firms, and healthcare organizations. Cleveland has opportunities in industrial technology and healthcare sales, while Cincinnati's consumer goods and B2B sectors contribute additional openings. Dublin and Westerville, suburbs of Columbus, also host regional headquarters where sponsored sales roles are common.
How to find account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters account executive jobs in Ohio specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, which saves time compared to reviewing postings that don't address sponsorship at all. On Migrate Mate, you can search by role and state to surface employers in Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati that have a documented history of sponsoring international hires for account executive positions in technology, healthcare, and financial services.
Are there any Ohio-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for account executives?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B account executive roles are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific metropolitan area, so Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati each have distinct wage levels that employers must certify. Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University also produce graduates who enter regional sales pipelines, meaning competition for sponsored roles can be meaningful in the Columbus and Cleveland markets specifically.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account executive jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
