ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
We've been proudly serving the community for 10 years and currently have a team of 10. I began my career with State Farm as a team member and spent six years in that role before opening my own agency. I’m a graduate of University of Kentucky, married, and a proud parent to a two-year-old son.
Our agency is family-oriented and close-knit — many of our team members have been with us for years. We value teamwork, celebrate milestones and foster an environment where people support one another. We have two convenient locations in Mt. Washington and Louisville (Highview).
We offer perks like half-day Fridays once a month for full-time employees and a casual, flexible work environment. We set high goals, work hard, and make sure to have fun along the way. I’m happy to train individuals new to the industry as long as they bring a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
If you’re looking for a team that values connection, growth, and long-term success, this could be the right place for you.

This is a relationship-driven sales role focused on retention and account growth. Rather than relying on cold prospecting, you’ll proactively connect with existing clients, conduct coverage reviews, identify gaps in their insurance and financial plans, and recommend solutions that better meet their evolving needs. Success is measured by your ability to retain clients, increase account value, and create an outstanding client experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned book of existing clients.

- Grow account value through cross-selling, upselling, and referral generation.
- Meet agency goals for retention, account growth, client outreach, and production.
- Maintain accurate client records and follow-up activities in the agency management system.

- High client retention and satisfaction.
- Consistent growth within an existing book of business.
- Meaningful policy reviews that uncover opportunities to better protect clients.

Which companies sponsor visas for customer specialists in Kentucky?
Louisville-based employers lead Kentucky's visa sponsorship activity for customer specialist roles. Humana, one of the country's largest health insurers, has a significant presence and has filed H-1B visa petitions for customer-facing roles. Kindred Healthcare, Tempur-Pedic, and Ashland Inc. are also active sponsors. Smaller regional insurers and logistics companies in the Louisville metro area round out the sponsoring employer pool.
Which visa types are most common for customer specialist roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for customer specialist roles in Kentucky, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Roles in healthcare customer operations, insurance account management, or technical support may qualify. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose specific role meets the relevant occupational category under USMCA.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most customer specialist sponsorship jobs?
Louisville is by far the primary hub for customer specialist sponsorship jobs in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of healthcare, insurance, and logistics employers. Lexington is a secondary market, with university-adjacent employers and healthcare systems like UK HealthCare active in the area. Bowling Green and Covington (in the greater Cincinnati metro) see occasional openings, particularly in manufacturing customer support.
How to find customer specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter directly for customer specialist roles in Kentucky to see positions where employers have an established sponsorship history. This saves time compared to sifting through general job postings where sponsorship eligibility is unclear. Migrate Mate surfaces employers in Kentucky's healthcare, insurance, and logistics sectors that actively hire for these roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for customer specialist visa sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are determined by the Department of Labor using Lexington and Louisville metropolitan area wage data, which tend to be lower than coastal markets. This can make Kentucky-based roles more accessible for sponsors managing labor costs. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville also generate OPT pipelines, so employers in Lexington and Louisville are often familiar with the sponsorship process for international graduates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored customer specialist jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
