Which companies sponsor visas for personal assistants in Kentucky?
Louisville-based employers in healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services have the strongest sponsorship track records for administrative and personal assistant roles. Norton Healthcare, Humana, and Lexington's UK HealthCare employ personal assistants supporting senior executives and medical leadership. Larger horse industry operations in the Bluegrass region and private family offices also occasionally sponsor, though at lower volume than corporate employers.
Which visa types are most common for personal assistant roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for personal assistant roles in Kentucky when the position genuinely qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as communications, business administration, or a relevant discipline. The O-1 visa applies in rare cases where the applicant has demonstrated extraordinary ability. TN visa status covers Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most personal assistant sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the largest share of personal assistant sponsorship opportunities in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 employers, hospital systems, and corporate headquarters. Lexington follows, particularly around healthcare, university administration, and the thoroughbred horse industry. Smaller markets like Bowling Green and Covington see occasional openings tied to manufacturing and regional business expansion.
How to find personal assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find personal assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky, with listings filtered specifically by role and sponsorship status so you're not sorting through positions that won't support work visa holders. Focus your search on Louisville and Lexington employers in healthcare and corporate sectors, as these consistently produce the most sponsorship activity for administrative and personal assistant positions in the state.
What should international candidates know about personal assistant sponsorship in Kentucky?
The primary challenge for personal assistant roles in Kentucky is demonstrating specialty occupation status, which requires the position to routinely require a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Roles supporting medical executives, legal professionals, or complex corporate operations tend to meet this bar more consistently than general administrative support positions. Kentucky's prevailing wage requirements for sponsored roles are set by the Department of Labor based on the specific job duties and local market data, not a statewide flat figure.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored personal assistant jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
