Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for personal assistants?
Sponsorship for personal assistant roles in Kansas is relatively uncommon but does occur at larger corporations and healthcare organizations. Companies like Spirit AeroSystems, Evergy, and major hospital networks in Wichita and the Kansas City metro area have histories of H-1B sponsorship. Executive staffing firms supporting corporate clients in Overland Park also occasionally facilitate sponsorship for highly qualified candidates.
Which visa types are most common for personal assistant roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for personal assistant roles that qualify as specialty occupations, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. O-1 visas are rare for this role type but apply in exceptional circumstances. Eligibility depends heavily on how the specific role is structured and documented by the employer.
Which cities in Kansas have the most personal assistant sponsorship jobs?
Wichita is the largest employment hub in Kansas, with the most corporate and executive offices likely to hire personal assistants at a sponsorship-eligible level. Overland Park and Kansas City (Kansas side) follow closely, driven by financial services, healthcare, and technology firms clustered in the Johnson County corridor. Topeka, as the state capital, also has administrative and executive support roles tied to government-adjacent organizations.
How to find personal assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is a dedicated platform for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles, including personal assistant positions in Kansas. You can filter specifically by state and role type to surface employers actively open to sponsoring foreign national candidates. This saves significant time compared to manually researching employer sponsorship histories across general job boards.
Are there state-specific considerations for personal assistants seeking visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas does not have state-level visa programs, so federal visa rules apply uniformly. One key consideration is that personal assistant roles must meet the specialty occupation standard under H-1B rules, meaning the position must genuinely require a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Kansas's lower cost of living means prevailing wage benchmarks may differ from coastal markets, which can affect how employers structure sponsorship-eligible roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored personal assistant jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
