About the Role
Intuit is standing up a dedicated Partner Planning & Operations function — the operating backbone for our Channel Sales and Office of the Accountant business, turning FY27 growth targets into systems, cadence, and execution. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build that function from scratch.
As a Principal Sales Operations Analyst, you'll be the embedded operating partner to one of our channel sales pillars — owning the planning cadence, pipeline and forecast rigor, and reporting that lets our sales leaders run their business with confidence. You'll work daily with a small team of analysts and contract resources, setting priorities and the quality bar for their work, even though this is an individual-contributor role.
Responsibilities
What You'll Own
- Business rhythm & forecasting — Own the weekly pipeline and capacity cadence with your aligned sales leader(s); build rolling forecasts that hold up under scrutiny in monthly business reviews.
- Program & process operations — Design and run the operational playbook for your pillar — partner/reseller onboarding, deal-desk and quoting support, or comp-plan mechanics, depending on the role — so the right behavior is the easy behavior.
- Planning — Support annual and in-year planning (targets, territory/account alignment, capacity) in partnership with the Partner Planning and Partner Data Ops teams.
- Data & reporting — Be accountable for your pillar's performance data; build and maintain dashboards that tell an honest, actionable story to your sales leader(s) and to Partner Planning & Ops leadership.
- Cross-functional partnership — Represent your pillar in cross-functional forums (Systems, BI, Finance, Deal Desk, Legal) and translate their requirements back to your team.
- Team coordination — Prioritize and quality-check the day-to-day work of the analysts and contract workers aligned to your pillar; onboard new contract resources and keep their work aligned to the operating cadence.
- Governance — Flag risks early, drive QBR and exec-review prep for your pillar, and keep documentation (SOPs, playbooks) current as process evolves.
- Continuous improvement — Find friction in the seller and partner workflow and fix it proactively — not just when it's escalated.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or a related analytical/GTM function.
- Experience informally directing, coordinating, or reviewing the work of contractors, vendors, or junior team members — even without formal management title or authority.
- Proven ownership of a sales business rhythm: pipeline management, forecasting, and/or territory and capacity planning.
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable structuring ambiguous problems, working with large datasets, and translating analysis into a recommendation a sales leader will act on.
- Hands-on proficiency with CRM (Salesforce or equivalent) and BI/reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the credibility to influence sales leaders and executives directly.
- Comfort operating with ambiguity — this function is being built from scratch, and the muscle for turning a blank page into a repeatable process is essential.
Nice to Have
- Experience in channel, partner, or indirect sales models (VARs, resellers, referral partners) specifically.
- Familiarity with partner/channel tooling (PRM platforms) or deal-desk/quoting systems.
- Prior experience in a SaaS, fintech, or subscription business.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, analytics, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.

Which companies in Maine sponsor visas for sales operations roles?
WEX Inc., headquartered in Portland, is among Maine's most active sponsors of work visas for business and operations roles. Financial services firms, healthcare technology companies, and logistics organizations in the Portland metro area have also filed Labor Condition Applications for operations-focused positions. Sponsorship activity is most consistent at larger enterprise employers with established HR and legal infrastructure.
Which visa types are most common for sales operations professionals in Maine?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for sales operations roles in Maine, particularly for positions requiring a bachelor's degree in business, analytics, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa for qualifying business analyst roles. L-1B transfers are another pathway for candidates moving from a foreign affiliate of a Maine-based employer.
Which cities in Maine have the most sales operations visa sponsorship jobs?
Portland is Maine's primary hub for sales operations sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial technology, insurance, and professional services employers. South Portland and Auburn also have employer presence in operations and business support functions. Augusta, as the state capital, hosts some government-adjacent contractors and healthcare organizations that occasionally sponsor international candidates for operations roles.
How to find sales operations visa sponsorship jobs in Maine?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify Maine-based employers actively hiring international candidates for sales operations roles. You can search by role type and state to surface positions at companies with a track record of sponsoring H-1B, E-3, or TN visas. This is significantly more targeted than browsing general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely disclosed upfront.
Are there any Maine-specific considerations for sales operations candidates seeking sponsorship?
Maine's smaller labor market means fewer total sponsorship opportunities compared to larger states, but competition for available roles can also be lower. Sales operations positions tied to CRM administration, revenue analytics, or sales enablement are more likely to meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard than generalist sales support roles. The University of Southern Maine and Husson University produce local business graduates, but employers in growth phases still look beyond the state for specialized operations talent.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales operations jobs in Maine?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
