Help Eastland Food Shape the Future of Asian Cuisine in the US
About the Opportunity
2026 marks a landmark year for Eastland Food Corporation: our 45th anniversary. For over four decades, we have been the bridge between the best flavors of Asia and the American table. Today, Asian cuisine is the fastest-growing food segment in the United States, and we are moving from the "specialty aisle" to the center of the American plate.
We are looking for a Marketing & Brand Manager to join our leadership team and lead our transition into a modern CPG powerhouse. This is a role for a high-level strategist who can turn our key brands into household names.
Brands You Know and Trust
You will be the guardian of the gold standard in Asian food and kitchenware. Our portfolio includes iconic names that define the category:
- The Essentials: Asian Best rice, Maesri curry, and LKK sauces.
- The Fan Favorites: Indomie noodles, Kopiko coffee candy, and BoBo fish balls.
- The Quality Standards: Tiger rice cookers and TableMark takoyaki.
Our reach is vast and growing. We are the primary partner for independent Asian supermarkets, but our products have successfully transitioned into the mainstream. You will create the campaigns that drive velocity at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods and supermarket banners across the country, ensuring our brands stand out in the most competitive retail environments in the world.
- Independent Market Dominance: Defending and expanding our territory against established competitors in traditional Asian supermarkets through superior branding and visibility.
- Mainstream Retail Expansion: Cracking the code for Costco, Walmart, and Whole Foods. You will determine how to position, package, and promote our legacy brands so they resonate with a broad, diverse American consumer base.
Your Role and Impact
As our Marketing Manager, you will be the architect of our brand identity across all channels. You will bridge the gap between our 45-year history and the modern American consumer. Your impact will be felt across a variety of areas:
- Brand & Product Management: You will define the "Why" behind every product, ensuring our messaging beats the competition on the shelf.
- Launch & Innovation Strategy: Lead the "Go-to-Market" (GTM) strategy for new items. From concept and packaging design to the first shipment, you will own the roadmap for how we introduce new flavors to the US market.
- Digital Elevation: Take our existing social platforms (like Instagram) from "rudimentary" to "revelatory." You will build a digital community that celebrates Asian food culture and drives foot traffic to our retail partners.
- Independent Market Dominance: Defending and expanding our territory against established competitors in traditional Asian supermarkets through superior branding and visibility.
- Mainstream Retail Expansion: Cracking the code for retailers like Costco, Walmart, and Whole Foods. You will determine how to position, package, and promote our legacy brands so they resonate with a broad, diverse American consumer base.
What You Bring to the Team
- CPG Mastery: 7–10+ years of marketing experience, specifically in food and beverage or consumer packaged goods.
- Mainstream Retail IQ: You understand what a buyer at a "Big Box" retailer needs to see—from packaging aesthetics to data-backed velocity projections.
- Analytical Mindset: The ability to track ROI on marketing spend and use market trends to forecast the "next big thing" in food.
- Cultural Intelligence: A deep understanding of the Asian market combined with the ability to "translate" those flavors for the mainstream American palate.
- Leadership Presence: Experience managing creative teams and reporting directly to executive leadership.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; the ability to speak Chinese, Vietnamese, or Thai is a major plus.
Why Join Us?
At Eastland, you get the best of both worlds: the security of a 45-year legacy and the "blank canvas" of a modernizing organization. We are a family-founded company that values direct communication, hard work, and a shared love for great food.
Benefits:
- Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision)
- 401(k) plan with company matching
- Paid Time Off (PTO) – 15 days per year, plus holidays
- Professional Development opportunities to stay ahead of marketing trends
- Employee Wellness Programs

Which companies sponsor visas for brand marketers in Maryland?
Marriott International, headquartered in Bethesda, has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for marketing roles. Other Maryland employers with past sponsorship records include Lockheed Martin, Leidos, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and T. Rowe Price in Baltimore. Federal contractors and large healthcare systems in the state tend to have established HR and legal infrastructure that makes visa sponsorship more feasible than smaller agencies.
Which visa types are most common for brand marketing roles in Maryland?
The H-1B is the most common visa for brand marketing professionals in Maryland, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Candidates with a master's degree may be eligible for the advanced degree exemption, which improves lottery odds. O-1B visas apply in rare cases where a marketer has demonstrated extraordinary achievement, though the evidentiary standard is high.
Which cities in Maryland have the most brand marketing sponsorship jobs?
Bethesda and Rockville, part of the Montgomery County corridor, concentrate the highest density of corporate brand marketing roles due to the presence of large headquarters and federal contractors. Baltimore is a secondary hub, particularly within healthcare systems, financial services firms, and mid-size agencies. Columbia and Annapolis see some demand from technology and government-adjacent companies but at lower volume than the DC-adjacent suburbs.
How to find brand marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Maryland?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers are open to visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify brand marketing positions in Maryland without reviewing hundreds of postings manually. The platform surfaces roles from employers in the Bethesda corridor, Baltimore, and Columbia. Filtering by role type and state lets you focus on companies that have the infrastructure and willingness to sponsor international candidates in marketing functions.
Are there state-specific factors that affect brand marketing visa sponsorship in Maryland?
Maryland's proximity to Washington, D.C. means many employers are federal contractors subject to specific compliance requirements, which can make their HR processes more formalized and sponsorship-friendly. The state's strong university pipeline, including the University of Maryland at College Park, produces marketing graduates who remain in the region, meaning some employers already have experience navigating OPT-to-H-1B transitions for marketing hires. Prevailing wage determinations for brand marketing roles in the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson metro are set by the Department of Labor and apply to all H-1B petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored brand marketing jobs in Maryland?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
