Which companies sponsor visas for brand marketers in Ohio?
Procter & Gamble is one of the most active sponsors for brand marketing roles in Ohio, given its global consumer goods headquarters in Cincinnati. Other notable sponsors include Nationwide Insurance and JPMorgan Chase in Columbus, Progressive in Mayfield Village, and KeyBank in Cleveland. These large, multinational employers have established immigration programs and regularly file H-1B petitions for marketing professionals.
Which visa types are most common for brand marketing roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for brand marketing professionals in Ohio. These roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Candidates with a relevant master's degree may also pursue the H-1B cap exemption through universities or nonprofit research organizations. Australians may alternatively pursue the E-3 visa, which has no lottery.
Which cities in Ohio have the most brand marketing sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's largest market for brand marketing sponsorship, driven by Nationwide, JPMorgan Chase, and a growing startup and retail sector. Cincinnati follows closely, anchored by Procter & Gamble's brand management operations. Cleveland supports sponsorship opportunities through Progressive, KeyBank, and healthcare organizations like Cleveland Clinic, which occasionally hires for communications and brand strategy roles.
How to find brand marketing visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Ohio-based brand marketing roles where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sifting through general postings, you can browse opportunities at companies like Procter & Gamble or Nationwide that have a documented history of H-1B filings for marketing positions in Ohio.
What should international brand marketing candidates know about Ohio's hiring market?
Ohio's consumer goods and insurance sectors drive consistent demand for brand marketing talent, particularly in Cincinnati and Columbus. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage as determined by the Department of Labor for the specific role and location, which affects how job offers are structured. Candidates with degrees in marketing, brand management, or communications generally have the strongest case for specialty occupation classification.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored brand marketing jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
