- Assist in documenting and implementing process and control frameworks across the revenue lifecycle
- Support integration of controls within ERP, billing, and revenue platforms
- Perform analysis to support revenue reconciliation and data alignment improvements

- Ability to translate requirements into actionable tasks and outputs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and ability to work with client teams
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 2–4 years of experience in risk consulting, accounting, audit, or related roles
- Exposure to SOX 404 compliance activities, including process walkthroughs, control testing procedures, and risk and control matrix (RCM) documentation
- Experience supporting Technology, Media, or Telecommunications (TMT) organizations or clients
- Foundational experience with revenue accounting (e.g., ASC 606) and related finance processes
- Experience supporting finance systems, process improvement, or control-related projects

- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and/or revenue/billing platforms (e.g., Zuora, Salesforce CPQ/Billing, Stripe, or similar)
- Experience working with data and reconciliation processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with client stakeholders and project teams
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area, with hybrid expectations (2–3 days onsite); willingness to travel ~50%, work extended hours as needed, and hold a valid passport
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Progress toward certifications such as CPA, CIA, PMP, or similar
- Experience working with revenue processes in high-growth environments
- Familiarity with complex revenue models (subscription, usage-based, multi-element)
- Exposure to risk and control frameworks within finance systems

Search Consultant Jobs in MarylandConsultant Jobs in Maryland: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for consultants in Maryland?
Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, KPMG, Leidos, and Accenture Federal Services are among the most active sponsors for consultant roles in Maryland. These firms have significant presence in the Washington D.C. metro and Baltimore markets and have consistent H-1B filing histories with the Department of Labor. Mid-size government contracting firms in Montgomery County also sponsor consultants with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for consultant roles in Maryland?
The H-1B is the most common visa for consultants in Maryland, particularly for management, technology, and strategy consulting roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialized field. L-1B visas are also used when consultants transfer from a foreign office of the same firm. Consulting roles at Maryland-based nonprofits or universities may qualify for cap-exempt H-1B petitions.
Which cities in Maryland have the most consultant sponsorship jobs?
Bethesda and Rockville in Montgomery County lead Maryland for consultant sponsorship activity, driven by dense federal contractor and consulting firm presence near D.C. Baltimore is the second major hub, particularly for healthcare consulting, financial advisory, and life sciences strategy roles. Columbia and Annapolis also have concentrations of consulting employers, especially in government and technology sectors.
How to find consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Maryland?
Migrate Mate filters consultant roles specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse Maryland-based positions without sorting through employers unlikely to sponsor. Consulting in Maryland is concentrated around government contracting and healthcare, so filtering by those industries on Migrate Mate narrows results meaningfully. Setting up alerts for Maryland consultant openings ensures you see new postings as they appear.
Are there state-specific considerations for consultants seeking visa sponsorship in Maryland?
Maryland's consulting market is heavily shaped by proximity to federal agencies, meaning many roles involve security clearance requirements that can complicate sponsorship for non-citizens. Clearance-eligible positions are generally restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Consultants without clearance eligibility should focus on commercial consulting practices, healthcare advisory, or private-sector technology consulting firms headquartered in Baltimore or the Montgomery County corridor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored consultant jobs in Maryland?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
