Which companies sponsor visas for assistant project managers in Massachusetts?
Large employers with consistent sponsorship track records for assistant project manager roles in Massachusetts include Moderna, Raytheon Technologies, Suffolk Construction, Gilbane Building Company, and major academic medical centers like Mass General Brigham. Life sciences firms concentrated in the Kendall Square and Route 128 corridor are particularly active, as project coordination roles in regulated industries tend to require structured hiring pipelines that accommodate visa sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for assistant project manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for assistant project managers in Massachusetts, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as engineering, construction management, or information systems. Some employers also sponsor L-1B visas for internal transfers with specialized knowledge. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the project manager professional category.
How to find assistant project manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is a job board specifically built for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter directly for assistant project manager roles in Massachusetts to see employers who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas. This is more efficient than sorting through general listings, since Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on sponsorship-eligible positions rather than mixing in roles that don't support international candidates.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most assistant project manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest concentration of assistant project manager sponsorship opportunities in Massachusetts, particularly in life sciences, biotech, and commercial construction. Worcester is a growing secondary market with hospital systems and manufacturing firms that hire for project coordination. The Route 128 technology corridor spanning Waltham, Burlington, and Lexington also has consistent demand from defense contractors and engineering firms with H-1B sponsorship capacity.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for assistant project manager visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements when sponsoring H-1B workers, and assistant project manager roles in the Boston metro area are benchmarked against a high local wage tier. The state's dense concentration of universities, including MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern, produces a steady pipeline of international graduates on OPT who transition into assistant project manager roles and later pursue H-1B sponsorship through employers in construction, healthcare IT, and biotech.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant project manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
