Which companies sponsor visas for case managers in Massachusetts?
Large healthcare systems and integrated care networks are the most active sponsors for case manager roles in Massachusetts. Mass General Brigham, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, and UMass Memorial Health have all filed H-1B visa petitions for social and health services positions. Community health centers funded through federal programs, such as those in the FQHC network, also sponsor international candidates for qualifying case management roles.
Which visa types are most common for case manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for case managers in Massachusetts, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related specialty field. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying social worker classifications. Some positions at nonprofit or government-affiliated organizations may also support green card sponsorship through the EB-3 category for professional roles.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most case manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston has the highest concentration of case manager sponsorship opportunities, driven by its dense cluster of academic medical centers, behavioral health providers, and managed care organizations. Worcester is the second-largest hub, anchored by UMass Memorial Health and several community mental health agencies. Springfield and Lowell also have meaningful demand, particularly from federally qualified health centers and refugee resettlement organizations serving diverse populations.
How to find case manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify Massachusetts case manager openings where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. You can narrow results by location and role type to focus on healthcare systems, behavioral health agencies, or social services organizations in Boston, Worcester, or other Massachusetts cities. Migrate Mate surfaces roles that would otherwise be difficult to identify from general job listings.
Are there state-specific factors that affect case manager visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts has a high cost of living, which tends to push prevailing wage requirements upward for H-1B petitions filed in the Boston metropolitan area. Many case manager roles require licensure, such as a Licensed Social Worker credential, which candidates on visa status need to obtain through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Social Work. Academic medical centers affiliated with Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University also serve as pipelines for internationally trained social work graduates pursuing sponsored positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored case manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
