Which manufacturing companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts manufacturing employers with H-1B1 visa Chile LCA filings include medical device companies in the Greater Boston area, aerospace component manufacturers along the Route 128 corridor, and precision electronics firms in Worcester County. Employers such as Raytheon Technologies, Boston Scientific, and Thermo Fisher Scientific have filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation manufacturing roles, though sponsorship decisions are made case-by-case based on role eligibility and business need.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most manufacturing H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Boston and its immediate suburbs see the highest concentration of H-1B1 Chile manufacturing LCA activity, driven by the medical device and life sciences manufacturing sector. Worcester is a secondary hub for precision machining and industrial manufacturing. Lowell and Lawrence have established textile and electronics manufacturing histories, while the Route 128 corridor from Waltham to Lexington hosts defense and aerospace manufacturers that regularly file specialty occupation petitions.
What types of manufacturing roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in manufacturing applies to specialty occupation positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Qualifying roles commonly include manufacturing engineers, process engineers, quality engineers, materials scientists, industrial engineers, and automation or controls engineers. Production supervisor or general assembly roles that do not require a specific technical degree typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidelines.
How do I find manufacturing H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search: you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Massachusetts manufacturing employers with verified H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history. This focuses your search on companies that have already demonstrated a pattern of sponsoring Chilean nationals for specialty occupation manufacturing roles, rather than applying broadly and discovering sponsorship constraints later in the process.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile manufacturing sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers must comply with both federal H-1B1 prevailing wage requirements under the DOL and state wage and hour laws, which can set higher effective wage floors in some manufacturing classifications. The state's strong union presence in certain manufacturing subsectors may affect how employers structure specialty occupation roles. Chilean nationals should confirm that their degree credential is evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree before beginning the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile manufacturing jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
