Which finance companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts is home to several major financial employers with documented H-1B1 visa sponsorship activity, including State Street Corporation, Fidelity Investments, Wellington Management, and Putnam Investments, all headquartered in or near Boston. Large national banks with significant Massachusetts operations, such as Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase, also file Labor Condition Applications for Singaporean professionals in qualifying specialty occupation finance roles.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most finance H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Boston is by far the primary concentration point, hosting the headquarters of major asset managers, custodian banks, and fintech companies that sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas. Cambridge and Waltham also see meaningful activity, particularly from fintech firms and financial technology divisions of larger institutions. Worcester and Springfield have smaller but growing financial services sectors, though Boston's Financial District remains the dominant hiring location for sponsored finance roles.
What types of finance roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, for example, financial analyst, investment analyst, quantitative analyst, compliance officer, risk analyst, portfolio manager, and corporate finance specialist positions. The H-1B1 requires the role to meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning a specific academic background must be a genuine requirement of the position, not merely preferred. General clerical or junior administrative finance roles generally do not qualify.
How do I find finance H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for this search, you can filter by visa type (H-1B1 Singapore), industry (Banking and Financial Services), and state (Massachusetts) to surface employers with verified Labor Condition Application filing history in finance. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to companies that may not sponsor H-1B1 visas at all, letting you focus on Boston-area asset managers, banks, and fintech firms that have an established pattern of sponsoring Singaporean professionals.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in finance?
Massachusetts does not impose additional state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal H-1B1 rules, but Boston's competitive finance job market means employers often prioritize candidates with sector-specific credentials such as CFA or FRM designations alongside degree qualifications. Massachusetts also has strict state wage and hour laws, so employer compliance obligations run in parallel with the DOL prevailing wage requirements embedded in the Labor Condition Application. Candidates should verify that the offered role and wage genuinely meet both federal LCA standards and Massachusetts employment law.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore finance jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
