Which finance companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Utah?
Utah-based and nationally headquartered finance employers with a presence in Salt Lake City have filed H-1B1 visa Labor Condition Applications for Singaporean workers, including Zions Bancorporation, Goldman Sachs, and regional fintech companies. Because the H-1B1 does not require a lottery and has a dedicated annual allocation for Singapore nationals, some employers who are cautious about the standard H-1B process are more willing to sponsor under this category. Checking OFLC Labor Condition Application disclosure data can help identify active sponsors.
Which cities in Utah have the most finance H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the large majority of finance sponsorship activity in Utah, given its concentration of bank headquarters, insurance firms, and fintech employers. The broader Wasatch Front corridor, including South Jordan and Sandy where several financial services back-office and technology centers operate, also generates sponsorship opportunities. Provo and Orem have smaller but growing finance presences tied to tech-adjacent financial services companies.
What types of finance roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field qualify as specialty occupations under the H-1B1 visa. In finance, this commonly includes financial analysts, quantitative analysts, risk managers, compliance officers, investment analysts, and corporate finance associates. Positions in financial technology, such as fintech product managers with finance degrees or data scientists supporting trading operations, also regularly qualify. General clerical or sales roles in finance typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find finance H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface visa sponsorship jobs, including finance roles open to H-1B1 Singapore holders in Utah. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to see which employers are actively hiring and have sponsorship history. Because the H-1B1 Singapore category is distinct from the standard H-1B, targeting employers already familiar with it through Migrate Mate's sponsorship data reduces time spent on employers unlikely to sponsor.
Are there any Utah-specific or finance-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Utah does not impose state-level restrictions on employer visa sponsorship, so federal H-1B1 visa rules govern entirely. Within finance, employers must file a Labor Condition Application certifying that the offered position meets prevailing wage requirements for the specific occupation and geographic area. Utah's prevailing wage levels, determined by DOL using Bureau of Labor Statistics data, are generally lower than those in coastal financial centers, which can make sponsorship costs more manageable for Utah-based employers considering Singaporean candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore finance jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
