Which companies sponsor visas for product development managers in Massachusetts?
Several large employers in Massachusetts have consistent track records of sponsoring work visas for product development managers. These include Biogen, Takeda, Boston Scientific, Raytheon Technologies, MathWorks, HubSpot, and Wayfair. Massachusetts General Hospital and academic medical centers also sponsor product development roles tied to medical device and health technology programs. Sponsorship activity is concentrated in biotech, defense technology, and enterprise software.
Which visa types are most common for product development manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product development managers in Massachusetts, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field. Candidates with extraordinary ability may also qualify for the O-1A. Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and processes faster than the H-1B.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most product development manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest concentration of product development manager roles with sponsorship, driven by the biotech and life sciences clusters in Kendall Square and the Seaport district. Waltham and Lexington along the Route 128 corridor are strong for defense technology and medtech employers. Worcester and Lowell also have active manufacturing and engineering companies that hire for product development leadership roles.
How to find product development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find product development manager roles in Massachusetts without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can narrow results to Massachusetts employers who have a documented history of filing H-1B or other work visa petitions for product development manager titles, saving significant research time.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for product development managers?
Massachusetts has a deep university pipeline through MIT, Northeastern, and Boston University that feeds product development roles, meaning employers are accustomed to hiring internationally and navigating sponsorship. The state's concentration of life sciences and defense contractors also means many employers already maintain legal infrastructure for visa filings. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply statewide, and wages in the Boston metro tend to reflect a high-cost labor market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product development manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
