Which companies sponsor visas for product engineering managers in Massachusetts?
Several large employers in Massachusetts have documented histories of sponsoring work visas for product engineering managers. Companies including HubSpot, Wayfair, Akamai, Rapid7, and Biogen regularly file H-1B visa petitions for senior engineering leadership roles. Major financial services firms headquartered in Boston, such as Fidelity Investments and State Street, also sponsor product engineering managers, particularly for technology transformation initiatives.
Which visa types are most common for product engineering manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B visa is by far the most common sponsorship pathway for product engineering managers in Massachusetts, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may also qualify for the TN visa under the USMCA, and those with extraordinary achievement may pursue the O-1A.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most product engineering manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest share of product engineering manager sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts, driven by concentrations of technology companies, biotech firms, and financial services headquarters. The Route 128 corridor, including Waltham, Burlington, and Woburn, is a secondary hub with a significant number of established tech employers. Worcester is a smaller but growing market, supported by a strong local university presence.
How to find product engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles, including product engineering manager positions in Massachusetts. The platform filters jobs by sponsorship availability, so you can focus on employers already open to sponsoring your work visa rather than applying broadly and discovering sponsorship limitations late in the process. Filtering by Massachusetts narrows results to the Boston metro, Cambridge, and Route 128 corridor employers.
What state-specific factors should product engineering managers know about working in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts is a high-cost-of-living state, which directly affects the prevailing wage levels that employers must certify on Labor Condition Applications filed with the Department of Labor for H-1B sponsorship. The state's concentration of world-class universities, including MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern, creates a strong pipeline of technical talent and means employers are experienced with visa sponsorship processes. Massachusetts also has no non-compete enforcement for employees, which can affect hiring dynamics at technology companies.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineering manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
