Which companies sponsor visas for product engineering managers in Ohio?
Ohio-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for product and engineering management roles include Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Nationwide and JPMorgan Chase in Columbus, and Sherwin-Williams and Progressive Insurance in Cleveland. Large technology-adjacent manufacturers such as Rockwell Automation and Worthington Industries have also filed Labor Condition Applications for senior engineering and product leadership positions.
Which visa types are most common for product engineering manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa category for product engineering managers in Ohio, as the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1A visas apply for managers transferring from an overseas office of the same company. Australian citizens may pursue the E-3, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN category for engineering roles.
Which cities in Ohio have the most product engineering manager sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's primary hub for product engineering manager sponsorship, driven by its concentration of fintech, insurance technology, and enterprise software employers. Cincinnati follows, anchored by consumer goods and healthcare technology companies. Cleveland offers opportunities in industrial technology, advanced manufacturing, and medical devices. Dayton has a smaller but consistent presence connected to aerospace and defense contractors.
How to find product engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse product engineering manager roles in Ohio without manually screening hundreds of postings. You can search by state and role type to surface employers actively willing to sponsor, which is particularly useful in Ohio where sponsorship availability varies significantly between large enterprises and regional mid-market companies.
Are there any Ohio-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for product engineering managers?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are determined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics data for each metropolitan area, meaning Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati each carry different wage thresholds for the same title. Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve, and the University of Cincinnati produce significant engineering talent pipelines, and many in-state employers are familiar with OPT and STEM OPT extensions before transitioning international candidates to H-1B sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineering manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
