Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain roles in Massachusetts?
Large employers with established sponsorship track records in Massachusetts include Biogen, Takeda, Raytheon Technologies, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Amazon's regional fulfillment and logistics operations. Medical device and pharmaceutical companies along Route 128 and in the Greater Boston area file Labor Condition Applications for supply chain titles including supply chain analyst, procurement specialist, and logistics manager with notable regularity.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for supply chain professionals in Massachusetts, particularly for analytical roles such as supply chain engineer, demand planner, or procurement analyst that require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like industrial engineering, operations management, or supply chain management. TN visas cover Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering and management roles. Some senior operations professionals pursue O-1 visa classification.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most supply chain sponsorship jobs?
Boston and its inner suburbs, including Cambridge, Waltham, and Lexington, concentrate the most sponsorship activity due to the density of life sciences and technology employers. Worcester is a secondary hub with manufacturing and medical device supply chains. The Route 128 corridor running through Burlington, Woburn, and Framingham is particularly active for distribution, procurement, and logistics management roles.
How to find supply chain visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters supply chain jobs in Massachusetts specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sorting through postings that won't support international candidates. The platform covers roles across procurement, logistics, demand planning, and operations management at Massachusetts employers. Searching by state and role type on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to identify which companies are actively hiring and sponsoring visas right now.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific factors that affect supply chain visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts has a high cost of living, which means prevailing wage requirements for H-1B supply chain roles tend to be set at levels reflecting the Boston metro area, generally above national averages for comparable titles. The state's concentration of life sciences and defense employers also means many supply chain roles require sector-specific experience or security clearance eligibility, which can affect the sponsorship pipeline for international candidates entering those industries.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
