Which companies sponsor visas for assistant account managers in Michigan?
Automotive giants General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis, along with their Tier 1 suppliers like Aptiv and BorgWarner, have active sponsorship programs for assistant account managers in Michigan. Healthcare systems such as Henry Ford Health and Beaumont Health, and professional services firms in Detroit and Ann Arbor, also sponsor these roles, though sponsorship willingness varies by employer and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for assistant account manager roles in Michigan?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for assistant account managers in Michigan, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or communications. L-1B visas apply when candidates transfer within a multinational company, which is relevant given Michigan's concentration of global automotive suppliers with U.S. and international offices.
Which cities in Michigan have the most assistant account manager sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its metro suburbs, including Dearborn, Troy, and Auburn Hills, account for the largest share of assistant account manager sponsorship opportunities in Michigan, driven by automotive and manufacturing sector demand. Grand Rapids follows with openings in healthcare and distribution, while Ann Arbor attracts roles in technology, research, and professional services tied to the University of Michigan ecosystem.
How to find assistant account manager visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search assistant account manager roles in Michigan without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by city, such as Detroit or Grand Rapids, and by industry. Because Michigan's sponsorship activity is concentrated in automotive and healthcare sectors, filtering by those categories on Migrate Mate surfaces the most relevant opportunities.
Are there state-specific or role-specific considerations for assistant account managers seeking sponsorship in Michigan?
Michigan's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B roles mean employers must pay the Department of Labor-determined wage for the specific occupation and metro area, which differs between Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Ann Arbor. Michigan's heavy automotive industry concentration also means many sponsoring employers expect familiarity with B2B account management or manufacturing supply chain contexts, and university pipelines from University of Michigan and Michigan State University feed a competitive local talent pool.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant account manager jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
