Which companies in Michigan sponsor visas for cloud solutions architects?
General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Stellantis, Rocket Companies, and Consumers Energy are among Michigan employers with documented H-1B sponsorship for cloud and infrastructure roles. Large consulting firms with Michigan offices, including Deloitte and Accenture, also sponsor cloud solutions architects. Automotive manufacturers in particular have invested heavily in cloud modernization, creating sustained demand for sponsored technical talent.
What visa types are most common for cloud solutions architect roles in Michigan?
The H-1B is the most common work visa for cloud solutions architects in Michigan, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates with existing O-1 status or those transferring from another employer's H-1B can also pursue Michigan-based roles. Some multinational employers use the L-1B for intracompany transfers into cloud architecture positions.
Which cities in Michigan have the most cloud solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its surrounding metro, including Dearborn, Auburn Hills, and Southfield, account for the largest share of cloud solutions architect sponsorship activity in Michigan, driven by the automotive sector and financial services firms. Ann Arbor is a secondary hub, supported by the University of Michigan tech ecosystem and healthcare technology companies. Grand Rapids has a smaller but emerging market for cloud roles tied to manufacturing and healthcare IT.
How to find cloud solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles, including cloud solutions architect positions in Michigan. You can filter by state and role to see employers actively hiring and sponsoring in the Michigan market. Because sponsorship availability is not always disclosed in standard job postings, using a platform that aggregates sponsorship-specific listings saves significant research time for cloud architect candidates.
Are there any Michigan-specific considerations for cloud solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Michigan's heavy concentration in automotive and manufacturing means many cloud solutions architect roles involve hybrid or on-site work rather than fully remote arrangements, which can affect prevailing wage determination tied to the work location. The University of Michigan and Michigan State University produce engineering and computer science graduates who compete for the same roles, but international candidates with cloud certifications and enterprise-scale experience remain in demand among larger employers navigating complex cloud migrations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions architect jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
