Which companies in Pennsylvania sponsor visas for cloud solutions architects?
Philadelphia-headquartered companies like Comcast, Vanguard, and Comcast Technology Solutions are among the most active H-1B sponsors for cloud and infrastructure roles in Pennsylvania. Healthcare systems including UPMC and Jefferson Health also sponsor cloud architects. In Pittsburgh, companies like Duolingo, PNC Financial, and Carnegie Mellon University's affiliated tech spinouts have sponsored cloud-focused technical roles.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions architect roles in Pennsylvania?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud solutions architects in Pennsylvania, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field. L-1B visas are also used when candidates transfer from an overseas office of a Pennsylvania-based multinational. O-1A visas apply in cases of demonstrated extraordinary technical achievement.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most cloud solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia is the primary market, driven by its concentration of financial services firms, healthcare systems, and enterprise technology companies that rely heavily on cloud infrastructure. Pittsburgh is the second major hub, with a strong presence of AI-driven startups, financial institutions, and university-affiliated research organizations. Harrisburg and King of Prussia have a smaller but notable number of government and defense-adjacent cloud roles.
How to find cloud solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse cloud solutions architect roles in Pennsylvania without having to manually screen each posting. You can filter by location to focus on Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or other Pennsylvania markets. Migrate Mate aggregates roles from employers who have indicated willingness to sponsor, which is particularly useful for H-1B candidates targeting enterprise technology and healthcare employers in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for cloud solutions architects seeking sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania's heavy concentration of regulated industries, particularly financial services and healthcare, means many cloud solutions architect roles involve compliance-sensitive work with frameworks like HIPAA or SOC 2. Employers in these sectors often have well-established immigration processes and legal teams familiar with H-1B filings. Pennsylvania also benefits from a strong university pipeline through Carnegie Mellon, Penn State, and Drexel, which sustains consistent international talent hiring at major employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions architect jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
