Which companies sponsor visas for cloud solutions architects in Kentucky?
Humana is one of Kentucky's most active H-1B sponsors and regularly files petitions for cloud and infrastructure roles at its Louisville headquarters. Other sponsors include Kindred Healthcare, Ashland Inc., and regional managed service providers. Large logistics and manufacturing firms with significant IT operations, such as those based in the Louisville corridor, have also filed sponsorships for cloud architecture positions.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions architect roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud solutions architects in Kentucky, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1B intracompany transferee status or O-1 visas with demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms also appear in Kentucky employer filings, though H-1B sponsorship remains the primary pathway.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most cloud solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the largest share of cloud solutions architect sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of healthcare IT, financial services, and logistics firms. Lexington is a secondary market with growing tech employer presence, supported in part by proximity to the University of Kentucky. The northern Kentucky cities of Covington and Florence benefit from spillover demand from the Greater Cincinnati metro, where several large technology employers maintain operations.
How to find cloud solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S., including cloud solutions architect roles in Kentucky. You can filter by state and role to see actively sponsoring employers. Because sponsorship availability is not always listed on general job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that surfaces verified sponsorship data saves significant research time when targeting Kentucky-based positions.
Are there any state-specific factors that affect cloud solutions architect sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky does not have state-level visa programs, so federal H-1B rules apply uniformly. One relevant factor is the Department of Labor prevailing wage requirement: employers must pay the wage level associated with the role and location in the Labor Condition Application. Cloud solutions architect positions in Louisville are benchmarked against a different prevailing wage than smaller Kentucky metros, which can influence where employers choose to place sponsored hires. University of Kentucky and University of Louisville both supply local talent pipelines that employers supplement with sponsored international hires.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions architect jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
