Which companies sponsor visas for cloud solutions architects in Tennessee?
Several large Tennessee employers have established H-1B sponsorship track records for cloud roles. HCA Healthcare in Nashville regularly sponsors cloud and infrastructure positions tied to its large-scale digital health initiatives. FedEx in Memphis sponsors technology roles across its global logistics platform. Oak Ridge National Laboratory and TVA also hire cloud architects, though federal contractor roles vary in their sponsorship eligibility. Large consulting firms with Tennessee offices, including Deloitte and Accenture, also file H-1B petitions for cloud solutions architects stationed in the state.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions architect roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for cloud solutions architects in Tennessee, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Candidates already authorized under OPT or STEM OPT extension can work while an employer files an H-1B petition. The L-1B visa applies when an international employee is transferring from a foreign office of the same company to a Tennessee-based role. The O-1A is an option for architects with documented exceptional achievements in cloud computing.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most cloud solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Nashville generates the highest volume of cloud solutions architect sponsorship opportunities in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare IT companies, financial services firms, and a growing general tech sector. Memphis is the second-largest market, anchored by FedEx's global technology operations and its broader logistics ecosystem. Knoxville and Oak Ridge represent a smaller but specialized market, with cloud roles tied to research institutions, the Department of Energy's computing programs, and University of Tennessee-affiliated technology initiatives.
How to find cloud solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles, including cloud solutions architect positions in Tennessee. You can filter directly by state and role to surface employers with active sponsorship histories rather than sifting through listings that don't disclose immigration support. Given Tennessee's concentration of healthcare IT and logistics technology employers, filtering for those industry categories on Migrate Mate can help narrow results to the highest-probability sponsoring companies for cloud architecture roles.
Are there state-specific factors that affect cloud solutions architect sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which influences total compensation packages and can affect how employers structure offers, including for sponsored roles. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions apply uniformly at the federal level, so employers in Nashville or Memphis must certify that offered wages meet the prevailing wage for the specific cloud solutions architect role and location. Tennessee's healthcare IT concentration also means many cloud architect roles involve handling protected health data, so candidates should expect employers to weight security clearance history and certifications like AWS or Azure alongside immigration eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions architect jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
