Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for cloud solutions architects?
Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, American Family Insurance, and Epic Systems are among the most active sponsors for cloud solutions architect roles in Wisconsin. These employers have established immigration support programs and regularly file H-1B petitions for technical roles. Healthcare IT firms and regional financial institutions in Milwaukee and Madison also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for cloud architecture positions.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions architect roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud solutions architects in Wisconsin, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1B intracompany transferee status or TN visas (for Canadians and Mexicans) may also find pathways through Wisconsin employers with multinational operations.
How to find cloud solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to find cloud solutions architect roles in Wisconsin without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. You can search by role and state to surface positions at Milwaukee-based financial firms, Madison healthcare IT companies like Epic Systems, and other Wisconsin employers with active sponsorship histories.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most cloud solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary hub, driven by the concentration of large financial services and insurance employers including Northwestern Mutual and Fiserv. Madison is a strong secondary market, anchored by Epic Systems and the University of Wisconsin's research and technology ecosystem. Green Bay has a smaller but growing presence, particularly among regional healthcare systems expanding their cloud infrastructure.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for cloud solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B workers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Milwaukee or Madison metropolitan areas, which are benchmarked separately and differ from national averages. The University of Wisconsin system also generates a pipeline of international graduates in computer science and engineering, and some university affiliated research institutions qualify as cap-exempt H-1B employers, which can affect timing and process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions architect jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
