Which companies sponsor visas for cloud solutions architects in California?
Large tech employers including Google, Apple, Salesforce, Oracle, and Meta are among the most active H-1B sponsors for cloud solutions architect roles in California. Hyperscaler partners, enterprise software firms, and cloud-native startups throughout the Bay Area and Los Angeles also file sponsorship petitions regularly. DOL LCA disclosure data is publicly available and shows which California employers have filed for this specific role.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions architect roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for cloud solutions architects in California, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extension may also receive sponsorship. Australian citizens have access to the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is processed separately.
Which cities in California have the most cloud solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley, covering San Jose, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View, consistently concentrate the highest number of cloud solutions architect sponsorship opportunities in California. Los Angeles is a secondary hub, particularly for media, entertainment, and fintech employers. San Diego has a growing presence driven by defense contractors and biotech companies adopting cloud infrastructure.
How to find cloud solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for cloud solutions architect roles in California without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform aggregates openings from employers with documented sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful in California where the volume of postings can make it hard to identify genuine sponsorship opportunities quickly.
Are there any California-specific considerations for cloud solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship?
California's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules apply to all H-1B positions, and wages for cloud solutions architects in the Bay Area and Los Angeles are benchmarked against some of the highest regional wage levels in the country. California also has a strong pipeline of international talent from universities like UC Berkeley, UCLA, and Stanford, which means employer familiarity with sponsorship processes tends to be higher than in many other states.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions architect jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
