Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for cloud solutions architects?
Large Ohio-based employers with established visa sponsorship programs include Nationwide Insurance, KeyBank, Huntington Bancshares, and Kroger Technology in Cincinnati. Healthcare systems like Cleveland Clinic and OhioHealth also hire cloud architects and have sponsored H-1B petitions historically. National technology consulting firms and cloud integrators operating in Ohio, such as Accenture and Deloitte, also regularly file sponsorship petitions for this role.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions architect roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for cloud solutions architects in Ohio, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Professionals from Canada or Mexico may also qualify under the TN visa. Those with an existing L-1B visa through a multinational employer can transfer within their company without entering the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in Ohio have the most cloud solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Columbus accounts for the largest share of cloud solutions architect roles in Ohio, driven by its concentration of insurance, financial services, and state government technology contracts. Cleveland is a strong second, with demand coming from banking institutions and healthcare technology operations. Cincinnati has a notable presence through Kroger Technology and regional financial firms. Dayton occasionally surfaces opportunities tied to defense and logistics technology contractors.
How to find cloud solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search cloud solutions architect roles in Ohio without wading through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role to surface active openings from employers who have demonstrated a willingness to sponsor. This saves significant time compared to manually screening general job listings for sponsorship eligibility.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for cloud solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Ohio employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for cloud solutions architect roles in the specific metropolitan area where the work is performed, which differs between Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University produce a steady pipeline of international graduates in computer science and engineering, which means some Ohio employers are experienced with F-1 OPT transitions leading into full H-1B sponsorship. Healthcare and financial services dominate sponsorship activity in this state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions architect jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
