Which companies sponsor visas for cloud solutions architects in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Google, Salesforce, and Boeing are among the most active H-1B sponsors for cloud solutions architects in Washington. Smaller enterprises and managed service providers in the Seattle metro also file sponsorship petitions regularly. DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data shows Washington consistently ranks among the top states for cloud architecture H-1B filings by large technology employers.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions architect roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud solutions architects in Washington because the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field. L-1B intracompany transfer visas are also common, particularly at large multinationals like Microsoft and Amazon that move specialized cloud talent from international offices into their Washington headquarters.
Which cities in Washington have the most cloud solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Redmond account for the largest share of cloud solutions architect sponsorship activity in Washington, reflecting the headquarters presence of Amazon and Microsoft respectively. Bellevue and Kirkland have grown significantly as cloud-focused employers have expanded campuses there. Tacoma and Spokane see smaller but steady demand, primarily from regional enterprises and state government IT modernization projects.
How to find cloud solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse cloud solutions architect roles in Washington without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Search by role and state on Migrate Mate to see which employers are actively hiring and sponsoring. Filtering by certification requirements such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect can help narrow results to the most relevant openings.
Are there state-specific factors that affect cloud solutions architect sponsorship in Washington?
Washington has no state income tax, which makes total compensation packages particularly competitive and can influence how employers structure offers for sponsored workers. The state's concentration of hyperscaler headquarters means prevailing wage levels for cloud solutions architects are set high, reflecting the local market. Many sponsored candidates entering Washington come through university pipelines at the University of Washington and Washington State University, both of which have strong cloud computing programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions architect jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
