Which consulting companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Michigan?
Michigan's largest H-1B1 Chile sponsors in consulting tend to be the major professional services firms with established Detroit and Grand Rapids offices, including Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, EY, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Mid-size operations and management consulting firms serving Michigan's automotive sector, including suppliers and OEM-adjacent advisory shops, also file Labor Condition Applications for Chilean nationals in specialty occupation roles.
Which cities in Michigan have the most consulting H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its suburbs, particularly Troy, Southfield, and Dearborn, account for the largest share of Michigan consulting sponsorship activity, driven by the automotive and manufacturing advisory market. Ann Arbor attracts technology and research-focused consulting roles tied to the University of Michigan ecosystem. Grand Rapids is a secondary market with growing demand in healthcare and operations consulting, particularly among regional mid-market clients.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that qualify under H-1B1 visa Chile must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at minimum a U.S. bachelor's degree or equivalent in a directly related field. In consulting, this covers management consultants, strategy analysts, IT consultants, financial advisory specialists, and operations analysts. General project coordinator or client-facing sales roles without a defined degree requirement in a specific discipline typically do not qualify.
How do I find consulting H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search: you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Michigan consulting employers with verified H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Application filing history. This is more targeted than a general job search because it shows which employers have actually sponsored the H-1B1 Chile category, not just which ones post consulting roles. Migrate Mate also shows role-level LCA data so you can see filing patterns by job title.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile consulting sponsorship in Michigan?
Michigan does not impose additional state licensing requirements on most management or strategy consulting roles, but technology consultants engaged in regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare may encounter compliance-related credentialing expectations from clients. The DOL prevailing wage requirements still apply through the OFLC Wage Search tool regardless of state, and Michigan's metropolitan statistical areas each carry distinct prevailing wage benchmarks that Michigan-based employers must meet in the Labor Condition Application.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile consulting jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
