Which investment management companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Michigan?
Michigan-based firms with documented H-1B1 visa Chile filing histories in investment management include large insurance-affiliated asset managers, regional bank trust departments, and independent registered investment advisors headquartered in Detroit and Grand Rapids. University endowment offices at institutions like the University of Michigan also employ investment professionals under specialty occupation visas. DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data, searchable through the OFLC Wage Search tool, shows employer-level filing histories for Chilean nationals in this category.
Which cities in Michigan have the most investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Detroit concentrates the largest share of Michigan's investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity, home to major bank trust divisions, asset management subsidiaries, and private equity offices. Grand Rapids has a growing financial services presence, particularly among insurance-linked investment managers. Ann Arbor attracts endowment and institutional investment roles tied to the University of Michigan. Smaller concentrations exist in Troy and Southfield, where regional advisory and wealth management firms operate.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that regularly qualify include portfolio analyst, investment research analyst, quantitative analyst, risk management analyst, compliance officer, and financial advisor positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. The position must meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning a specific degree in a directly related field is normally required for entry. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm whether a given role's degree requirements align with H-1B1 Chile specialty occupation criteria.
How do I find investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for investment management roles with H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Michigan, surfacing employers whose DOL Labor Condition Application filing history confirms they have sponsored Chilean nationals in this visa category. Rather than manually searching through OFLC disclosure files, Migrate Mate aggregates verified sponsorship data so you can identify active Michigan employers by role type, city, and visa category in one place.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Michigan's investment management sector?
Michigan does not impose additional state-level licensing requirements specific to H-1B1 Chile holders beyond standard investment adviser and securities licensing that all professionals in the sector must obtain. However, roles at firms registered with Michigan's Department of Insurance and Financial Services may require state-specific securities registrations. Chilean nationals should also confirm their employer is a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, as unregistered entities typically cannot satisfy the specialty occupation employer requirements under H-1B1 Chile rules.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile investment management jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
