Patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching of medical students, house officers and fellows and establish independent research program in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care
Required Qualifications*
- M.D degree and be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine.
- Selected candidate will also hold (or have the ability to obtain) appropriate medical licenses for the State of Michigan.
- Evidence of clinical competence and documentation of scholarly ability and achievement (record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, successful acquisition of external funding).
- Preferred candidate will possess the critical elements of teaching (knowledge of subject matter, skill in presentation, enthusiastic approach, etc.).
Modes of Work

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses. Employment will require both a criminal background check and an institutional reference check regarding any misconduct. Candidates will be required to submit a self-disclosure form as well as an authorization to release information form.
