Which companies in Minnesota sponsor visas for assistant account managers?
Large employers in the Twin Cities are the most active sponsors for assistant account manager roles. Companies like UnitedHealth Group, Target, Ameriprise Financial, U.S. Bancorp, and Ecolab have documented H-1B sponsorship histories. Staffing and marketing agencies in Minneapolis also hire for these roles, though sponsorship availability varies by employer and position. Checking a company's LCA filing history gives the clearest picture of past sponsorship activity.
What visa types are most common for assistant account manager roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for assistant account manager positions in Minnesota, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as marketing, business, or communications. Some candidates also enter through the L-1B intracompany transferee visa if moving from a foreign affiliate. OPT and STEM OPT are common early-career pathways before employer-sponsored petitions are filed.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most assistant account manager sponsorship jobs?
Minneapolis and Saint Paul account for the overwhelming majority of assistant account manager sponsorship opportunities in Minnesota. The broader Twin Cities metro, including suburbs like Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, and Bloomington, hosts many corporate headquarters and regional offices that hire for these roles. Rochester sees some activity tied to healthcare and technology firms, but the Twin Cities metro remains the primary market for sponsored positions in this field.
How to find assistant account manager visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate is a dedicated job board for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and it filters specifically for roles like assistant account manager in Minnesota. Rather than sorting through thousands of listings that don't offer sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with verified sponsorship histories in the state. Searching by role and location on Migrate Mate saves significant time and connects you directly with Minnesota employers open to sponsoring candidates in account management positions.
Are there state-specific factors that affect assistant account manager sponsorship in Minnesota?
Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in the Twin Cities means many assistant account manager roles exist within large organizations that have established immigration compliance teams, making sponsorship more feasible than at smaller firms. The University of Minnesota and other local institutions also create a pipeline of international graduates who pursue these roles on OPT before seeking H-1B sponsorship. Employers here generally follow DOL prevailing wage requirements tied to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area wage determinations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant account manager jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
