Which companies sponsor visas for C.N.A.s in Minnesota?
The most active sponsors for C.N.A. roles in Minnesota are large health systems with dedicated international recruitment programs, including Mayo Clinic in Rochester, M Health Fairview and Allina Health in the Twin Cities, and Essentia Health in Duluth. Long-term care networks and skilled nursing facilities also sponsor, though less frequently than major hospital systems. Sponsorship activity varies by facility and changes with workforce needs.
Which visa types are most common for C.N.A. roles in Minnesota?
The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway for C.N.A.s in Minnesota, as the role typically does not meet the specialty occupation standard required for an H-1B. Employers pursuing EB-3 sponsorship must complete PERM labor certification before filing an immigrant petition. Some facilities also use the TN visa for Canadian nationals whose countries include nursing assistant roles under eligible USMCA occupational categories.
How to find c.n.a. visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it the most direct way to find C.N.A. roles in Minnesota where employers are actively open to sponsoring international candidates. You can narrow results by state and role to surface relevant openings at Minnesota health systems and long-term care facilities. Checking listings regularly matters, as sponsorship-willing postings fill quickly in high-demand markets like the Twin Cities and Rochester.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most C.N.A. sponsorship jobs?
The Twin Cities metro area (Minneapolis and St. Paul) has the highest concentration of C.N.A. sponsorship opportunities, driven by the density of hospital systems, memory care centers, and skilled nursing facilities. Rochester is the second-largest market, anchored by Mayo Clinic's extensive care network. Duluth, St. Cloud, and Mankato also see consistent demand, particularly in long-term care settings serving rural and regional populations.
Are there any Minnesota-specific factors C.N.A.s should know before pursuing sponsorship?
Minnesota requires C.N.A.s to be listed on the state's Nurse Aide Registry before working in certified facilities, and international candidates must ensure their credentials meet state training and competency evaluation requirements. Minnesota's Department of Health oversees this registry. Employers sponsoring through EB-3 must meet federally determined prevailing wage standards for the specific county and facility type, which affects how job offers are structured during the PERM process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored c.n.a. jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
