Search Project Management Coordinator Jobs in MinnesotaProject Management Coordinator Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for project management coordinators in Minnesota?
Large Minnesota-headquartered employers are among the most active sponsors for project management coordinator roles. UnitedHealth Group, 3M, Target, Medtronic, and Cargill have each appeared in Department of Labor disclosure data for H-1B filings covering project coordination and program management positions. Mid-sized technology and healthcare firms in the Twin Cities metro also sponsor, though less frequently than enterprise-level organizations.
Which visa types are most common for project management coordinator roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project management coordinator positions in Minnesota, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, information systems, or engineering. TN visas cover Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization through Minnesota universities sometimes transition directly into sponsored status with their employers.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most project management coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Minneapolis and St. Paul account for the largest share of project management coordinator sponsorship opportunities in Minnesota. The broader Twin Cities metro, including suburbs like Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, and Plymouth, hosts major corporate campuses where coordination roles are common. Rochester, home to Mayo Clinic, is a secondary hub with notable demand for project coordinators in healthcare and life sciences specifically.
How to find project management coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and filters results by role and state so you can browse project management coordinator openings in Minnesota without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Because Minnesota's market is concentrated among a relatively small group of large employers, searching by company alongside role type on Migrate Mate helps identify which organizations are actively hiring and sponsoring in this category.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors that affect sponsorship for project management coordinators in Minnesota?
Minnesota's dominant industries, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing, shape what employers expect from project management coordinator candidates. Roles tied to healthcare IT or medical device operations at companies like Medtronic or UnitedHealth often require domain knowledge that strengthens a sponsorship case by supporting the specialty occupation standard. The University of Minnesota and other state institutions also produce a pipeline of international graduates who pursue coordination roles locally, meaning some employers have established sponsorship workflows for this position type.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management coordinator jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
