Which companies sponsor visas for project management coordinators in North Carolina?
Companies with a track record of sponsoring project management coordinator roles in North Carolina include Bank of America and Truist in Charlotte's financial sector, Red Hat and Cisco in the Research Triangle's technology corridor, and Labcorp and Syneos Health in life sciences. Large consulting firms with North Carolina offices, including Accenture and IBM, also regularly file for project management roles.
Which visa types are most common for project management coordinator roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for project management coordinators in North Carolina, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, engineering, or information systems. Coordinators from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa. Those with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify under TN visa status if the position aligns with an eligible USMCA occupation category.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most project management coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Charlotte generates the highest volume of project management coordinator sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial institutions, energy companies, and professional services firms. The Research Triangle area, covering Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, is a strong second, with technology and life sciences employers frequently sponsoring coordinators. Greensboro and Winston-Salem also have sponsoring employers in logistics and manufacturing.
How to find project management coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to roles where employers have indicated openness to visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify project management coordinator positions in North Carolina without sorting through listings that don't apply to international candidates. You can narrow results by location to focus on Charlotte, Raleigh, or other North Carolina cities where coordinator sponsorship activity is highest.
Are there any state-specific considerations for project management coordinators seeking visa sponsorship in North Carolina?
North Carolina's Research Triangle draws a significant share of international STEM graduates from NC State University, Duke University, and UNC Chapel Hill, creating a well-established employer pipeline for sponsored roles in tech and life sciences. For H-1B purposes, project management coordinator positions must demonstrate a direct degree requirement, so coordinators with engineering, information systems, or business degrees tend to have stronger specialty occupation cases than those with general degrees.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management coordinator jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
